This happens to be the first 'technical' post in my blog. Hence it will be a bit longer than the others.
Internet Explorer(IE) is the web-browser that Microsoft ships with the popular Windows operating system. I am a huge fan of Windows (I haven't used Mac yet) but I hate IE like anything.
Firstly, because it doesn't support standards even. Being a web designer an amateur web designer myself I know how difficult it is to write hacks for IE. Just because IE is the default browser for Windows doesn't mean, they expect us to write hacks for each and every design. IE doesn't support CSS 2.0 - Ah! Think of it. W3C(the web-standards guys) are planning to roll out CSS 3.0 -
Secondly, there are lots of other good broswers. From Firefox to Opera and everything in between. Here is the link to the 2 browsers I love the most. Opera and Firefox. What's more? Both of them are freeware(which means you needn't spend a penny and yet use it legally).
Microsoft (once again) disappointed everyone with the release of IE7. Its pretty much IE6 with tabbed browsing. If any Microsoft guy is reading this(I know you have 'better' work to do, still for namesake) please make Firefox your default browser.
Anyways, if there is anyone viewing this page on IE. Please. Please, for the sake of your ancestors(not really), try any-other-browser. You will love it.
How many sites can you really explore with Internet Explorer?
